(Listening) Through Walls
This piece, my choreographic debut with konverjdans, began as a collaboration with composer, pianist and electronic musician Hank Mason, who created the original music for it. First performed as a trio that opened for Gleich Dances’ full-length ballet Martha (The Searchers) in 2017, it was restaged as a piece for six dancers at konverjdans’ 2018 spring season, and finally performed at the 38th Annual Battery Dance Festival in New York City in 2019.
